【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoversmaterialsmadefromonlyvirginABSpolymersandblendsofABSpolymerssuitableforuseintheextrusionofpipeandmoldingoffittings.1.2TherequirementsofthisspecificationareapplicableonlytotheABSpolymersandblendsofABSpolymersasclassifiedanddonotaddresstherequirementsofthefinishedpipeorfittings.TheapplicableASTMstandardspecificationforpipeorfittingsshouldbeconsultedfortheirrequirements.1.3ThisspecificationexcludesABSpolymersandblendsofABSpolymersmadefromreprocessed,regrind,reclaimed,orrecycledmaterials.ABSrework,generatedin-housebytheoriginalplasticmanufacturer,maybeusedbythatoriginalmanufacturer,providedtheABSproductshippedmeetsthephysicalandmechanicalpropertiesrequiredbyitscalloutinTable1ofthisspecification.1.4ThisspecificationprovidesameansfordescribingABSmaterialsusedinthemanufactureofpipeandfittings.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticsfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,theinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisspecification,andtheeconomics.1.5ThisspecificationprovidesfortheclassificationofABSpolymersandblendsofABSpolymersintogroupsbasedonfiveproperties:Izodimpactstrengthatroomtemperature,Izodimpactstrengthatlowtemperature,deflectiontemperatureunderload,tensilestressatyieldpoint,andmodulusofelasticityintension.ThepropertiesincludedinthisspecificationarethoserequiredtoidentifytheABSmaterialbythecellclassifications.Note18212;OtherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsofABSpolymersandblendsofABSpolymerswillbeaddedastestmethodsbecomeavailableortheneedisidentified.Note28212;Duetopipeandfittingstandardsrequirementsaseparatestandardisplannedforrecycledmaterials.Note38212;ThisspecificationandISO7245-1984arenotequivalent.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallbethestandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.1.7Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section13,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
