【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofpentaneandtolueneinsolublesinusedlubricatingoils.ProcedureAcoversthedeterminationofinsolubleswithouttheuseofcoagulantinthepentane.Itprovidesanindicationofthematerialsthatcanreadilybeseparatedfromtheoil-solventmixturesbycentrifuging.ProcedureBcoversthedeterminationofinsolublesinoilscontainingdetergentsandemploysacoagulantforboththepentaneandtolueneinsolubles.InadditiontothematerialsseparatedbyusingProcedureA,thiscoagulationprocedureseparatessomefinelydividedmaterialsthatmaybesuspendedintheoil.Note1ResultsobtainedbyProceduresAandBshouldnotbecomparedsincetheyusuallygivedifferentvalues.Thesameprocedureshouldbeemployedwhencomparingvaluesobtainedperiodicallyonanoilinuseorwhencomparingresultsdeterminedbytwoormorelaboratories.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSectionand.
