【摘要】:Electricaltests,properlyinterpreted,provideinformationwithregardtotheelectricalpropertiesoftheinsulation.Theelectricaltestvaluesgiveanindicationastohowtheinsulationwillperformunderconditionssimilartothoseobservedinthetests.Electricaltestsmayprovidedataforresearchanddevelopment,engineeringdesign,qualitycontrol,andacceptanceorrejectionunderspecifications.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresforelectricaltestingofthermoplasticinsulationsandjacketsusedontelecommunicationswireandcableandforthetestingofelectricalcharacteristicsofcompletedproducts.Todeterminetheproceduretobeusedontheparticularinsulationorjacketcompound,orontheendproduct,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationfortheproduct.1.2Thetestmethodsappearinthefollowingsectionsofthisstandard:1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.SIunitsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSectionsand.1.4In-processelectricaltestsareusedprimarilyasprocesscontroltoolsinanattempttominimizethenumberandmagnitudeofproblemsdetectedatfinaltestofcompletedcable.1.5ElectricaltestsofcompletedwireandcablemayincludeverificationofsomeorallofthepropertiesinaccordancewithSectionsthrough.
