【摘要】:Thistestmethodallowsthedeterminationofthechemicalcompositionofpowderedandsinteredtungsten-basedhardmetals.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletomaterialwhichwillnotoxidizereadilyathightemperaturesinair,suchastungsten/copperortungsten/silveralloys.Thistestmethodspecifiedlithium-boratecompoundsfortheglassfusionmaterial.However,numerousotherchoicesareavailable.Theseincludeotherlithium-boratecompounds,sodiumcarbonateandboratemixtures,andothers.Themethodologyspecifiedhereisstillapplicableaslongasthesamefusionmixtureisusedforbothstandardsandspecimens.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedureforthedeterminationoftheconcentration,generallyreportedasmasspercent,ofthemetallicconstituentsoftungsten-basedalloysandhardmetalsutilizingwavelengthdispersiveX-rayfluorescencespectrometry(XRF).Thistestmethodincorporatesthepreparationofstandardsusingreagentgrademetallicoxides,lithium-boratecompounds,andfusiontechniques.Thistestmethoddetailstechniquesforpreparingrepresentativespecimensofbothpowderandsinteredtungsten-basedmaterial.Thistestmethodisaccurateforawiderangeofcompositions,andcanbeusedforacceptanceofmaterialtogradespecifications.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletomixturesoftungstenortungstencarbidewithadditionsofrefractorymetalcarbidesandbindermetals.Table1liststhemostcommonelementalconstituentsandtheirconcentrationrange.Notethatmanyoftheseoccurasmetalliccarbides.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
