【摘要】:Thistestmethoddifferentiatestherelativecorrosion-preventivecapabilitiesoflubricatinggreasesunderthetestconditions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecorrosion-preventivepropertiesofgreasesusinggrease-lubricatedtaperedrollerbearingsexposedtovariousconcentrationsofdilutesyntheticseawaterstoredunderwetconditions.ItisbasedonTestMethodD1743,whichispracticedusingasimilarprocedureanddistilledwater.Thereportedresultisapassorfailratingasdeterminedbyatleasttwoofthreebearings.1.2ApparatusDimensions8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3AllOtherValues8212;ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
